What would you wanna be?

July 6th, 2006

Groovy Mommy: What would you wanna be, Groovy Girl?

Groovy Girl: a pilot

GM: Don’t you wanna be a writer? I thought you loved reading…

GG: Yeah, I wanna be a writer…

GM: What about a drummer? You played the drum in Aunty Naughty’s party

GG: Hm..nah…

GM: So, what would you wanna be?

GG: A pilot!

Why she’s so determined to be a pilot? That wass what my MIL asked me once.

Well, Ma, you shouldn’t be asking that question. You were the one who bought her a plane for her 1st birthday!

Ever since Groovy Daddy’s been telling her that if Groovy Girl becomes a pilot, she can fly, just like the plane, she keeps saying she wanna be a pilot…nothing can change this strong will!

Let’s see how long it’ll last?

Aunty Naughty’s Wedding Really Back Me Off The Net!

    July 3rd, 2006

    More than a week, I know…

    Yet, I have good reason.

    Saturday was Aunty Naughty’s wedding.

She was beautiful, I was even more beautiful, the wedding was great, thanks to me!

Giving too much credit to my self?

    Not really…I deserve it! :D

I聽 helped Aunty Naughty with all I might…I even didn’t spend that much time with my groovy girl and groovy daddy.

Thank God last Friday I could get updated with the last discussion on some groups. So I was not that left behind.

Now, will you all please excuse me, I need a long long sleep…can barely open my eyes here…

Aunty Naughty was off for ther honeymoon somewhere in Maui…she left me here with the worst pain ever on my ankles for her choosing the prettiest shoes ever but the most comfortable ones I’ve ever worn in my whole life!

;) still, I’m happy for you, Naughty Aunty!

    The Belated Father’s Day Posting…

    June 25th, 2006

    Yes…1 week late, I know!

It was fun indeed. We went to my parents’. Groovy Daddy’s Papa passed away 6 months before we got married so we never go to his parents’ on Father’s Day. It’ll just make her Mama sad.

Anyway, my Mom cooked delicious food. She was being nice to my dad since usually she never allows him to eat such rich food.

My brothers also made it to come and wow, they brought great gifts for my Dad. My Jazzy CD looked liek a small thing in between the things they brought.

But daddy came to me when I was preparing the dessert (I made bread butter pudding) and said, “You’re always the one who knows better what I want for a gift…don’t tell your brothers…” And he kissed me on the forehead.

Dad, I didn’t tell them what you said, I just wrote it here.

You always know how to make me feel special, Dad…

Btw, my dad is the biggest fan of JAZZ! ;)

    Happy Birthday, Groovy Girl!

    June 21st, 2006

    Yes, it’s her birthday today…

She looks so beautiful in her pinky dress that I bought her a month ago. She whispered at my ear, saying, “I want to get married in this dress, Mommy…”

I couldn’t help laughing. Why she said that?

Because the day earlier we were talking about why she wasn’t there on the picture of my wedding. So, I told her that she couldn’t be born before her Daddy and I got married. So, she said, she wanted to get married and she repeated that again and again.

She also asked me why I look so beautiful on the picture (Did she meant that I wasn’t as beautiful?). I told her that every woman looks beautiful on the wedding day. And again, she said she wanted to get married, to her Daddy.

    Oh, she’s so loveable.

She could talk since she was 10 months old. People don’t believe that she’s 2 years old because she talks like a 5 year old.

I think she’s just being smart, my little groovy girl. A girl that will absolutely look extremely beautiful on her wedding day. God, please let me witness that day. Amen.

She asked for these this morning for her breakfast, easy and simple, isn't she?

She asked for these this morning for her breakfast…

    Easy and simple, isn’t she?

    Sorry, DG…

    June 16th, 2006

    I really am.

This Saturday, you’ll need to spen the day with your Groovy Daddy. I need to accompany Aunty Naughty to check out her wedding dress and the caterer, and see the hairdresser.

It’s gonna be a boring day without you, sweety, I know. Just have fun with Daddy and don’t be naughty…

    I’m such a helpful friend

    June 14th, 2006

My dear friend is getting married this summer. She finally found the right man. Actually, she was found by this right man.

They met on the net last February. At first, my friend who has this gigantic hobby on chatting thought of him only as a friend. Not because he wasn’t her type but because he lived out of Michigan. She wasn’t planning to move elsewhere.

Then, this guy seemed to really really fell in love with her. He came here in May to spend a weekend with her.

Afterwards it was my friend who couldn’t resist her. She said yes right away when this gentleman proposed to her.

Like all fall-in-love girl, she wouldn’t care anymore where she’s going to live, as long as it’s with her man.

Love can change a person a lot, sometimes. Just like Groovy Hubby who managed to change me from a calm quiet girl into a groovy lady.

Anyway, I’ll be helping her with the preparation. This one scares me out. She’s never been easy with details. Imagine, how detailed she’ll become with her own wedding preparation!

    Good luck, Nes!

    A Father…

    June 12th, 2006

All this time, I never think that much about what’s a father to me. I did much contemplation about my mom, but less about my dad.

He was rarely by my side, yet I always know he loves me.

There’s this nice interesting blog about Father’s Day…about honesty that a father deserves.

I haven’t got any gifts yet for you, Daddy…but…please check out that link above…I was being so honest with yo…

By the way, I forgot to write down there, that…

    I LOVE YOU!聽

PS: That blog really made my weekend! :D

    The baby monitor is broken!

    June 8th, 2006

And it had chosen the ‘RIGHT’ moment to end its life! Right when I need to get many things done!
Groovy Girl is not yet 2 years old, I still need the stuff to monitor her while she’s playing in her room and I get busy either cleaning the house, cooking or stuck with my job–I’m a W@H mom, remember?

Now, I can’t get things done peacefully. I can’t leave her alone without my knowing what she’s doing. I have to carry her to the kitchen, that’s fine. But I can’t have her around when I have to work. She’ll come to me and say, “Mom, I also want to work…”

Yeah right! I think Groovy Daddy needs to buy a new laptop for me so I can give mine to GG. Oh no, she won’t get the new one! ;)

I’ve rang GD to buy a new one (not the laptop, it’s the baby monitor :D ) and drop it by lunch time. He agreed to have my yummy meatballs for lunch, at home.

By the way, what do you have for lunch? Can I get the recipe? ;)

*You think I feel better already? No, I was just distracting my mind from the monitor to FOOD!* –> my biggest weakness :D
